Mango Michelada

Mango Michelada is a delicious twist on a classic Mexican beer-based cocktail. Fantastic drink for Summertime get-togethers.

Mango Michelada with Chamoy

The Michelada is a way of drinking beer that originated in Mexico. Super-cold beer is mixed with lime juice, chile sauce and served with a salt and Tajín rim.

Who created Michelada?

One story has it that the Michelada was invented by a man named Michel Esper in the town of San Luís Potosí; the other story claims that it was christened in honor of a Mexican general, Augusto Michel who reportedly liked to spike his lager with chiles and lime juice.

What is a Michelada?
The michelada, one of the most popular drinks in Mexico, is a beer-based cocktail made with lime, hot sauce, Worcestershire, and often tomato (or Clamato) juice, all served over ice in a glass with a salted rim.

A Mango Michelada replaces the clamato with mango puree or nectar, chamoy replaces the hot sauce...even though chamoy is sweet it can have some heat to it, lime juice, and your favorite Mexican beer with a salted rim of just salt or Tajin seasoning.
