Easy to Make Cilantro Lime Sauce/Dressing




A refreshing blend of lime and cilantro makes this sauce stand out. 
This Cilantro Lime Sauce recipe has the perfect tangy, creamy flavor and is the perfect complement to tacos, tostadas, tamales, enchiladas & more!

I originally made this sauce for my Baja Fish Tacos but now I serve it with everything!  Serve Cilantro Lime Sauce on salads, on fajitas, over grilled fish, grilled burgers, and with Shrimp Tacos.

Cilantro Lime Sauce is easy to make, has simple ingredients, and a bright flavor that will bring your food to life


What's in Cilantro Lime Sauce

Wet Ingredients:
Sour cream -(Mexican sour cream or greek yogurt can be used)
Mayonnaise
Lime juice - Fresh squeezed (recommended)

Vegetables:
Cilantro 
Jalapeño (serrano for heat-optional) stemmed, seeded

Dry Ingredient:
Salt - Sea salt or kosher (recommended)
Garlic Powder - or 1/2 tsp minced garlic
Sugar - helps balance the flavors

Notes: If used for a dressing, adding more mayo will thin out the sauce.

Just two steps to this delicious Cilantro Lime Sauce/Dressing

  • In the blender, pulse the cilantro with the lime juice, sour cream, mayonnaise, sugar, garlic powder, salt, and chile peppers, and purée until smooth. 
  • Taste, and adjust the seasoning with more salt or lime juice. That's it....easy peasy!

    Storing: The sauce will last about a week in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
