This habanero hot sauce recipe blends fresh carrots, onions, garlic, vinegar, and a hint of lime juice with the habanero peppers. Use as a condiment with breakfast burritos, eggs, sandwiches, tacos, pulled pork, steak, chicken, fish, quesadillas, and more.

Making Habanero Hot Sauce
Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add carrots, onions, and garlic to the saucepan and cook to vegetables till soft, about 10 minutes.
Transfer the carrot mixture to a blender or food processor. Add the habanero peppers, water, sugar, lime juice, vinegar, and salt to the blender/processor and blend until smooth.
Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and simmer for 3-5 minutes. Use a funnel to pour into your favorite empty bottles, wait for the hot sauce to come to room temperature, then refrigerate.

Habaneros -Don't know if you can handle the heat? use fewer habaneros....start with half the amount.
Onions - white onions are what I use but yellow can be used.
Carrots - rinsed and peeled, and roughly chopped
Vinegar - white or apple cider vinegar (sweeter taste)
Garlic - More or fewer garlic cloves can be used according to your taste.
Salt & Sugar - Adjust to taste.
Lime juice - freshly squeezed is better, but bottled lime juice can be used.
